The mission of The German Home (TGH), established by The German Ruth Society in 1902, is to provide a supervised, supportive and protective living environment for 31 ambulatory residents with mental health issues who cannot live alone, yet do not require skilled nursing services on a routine basis. Mental health issues and poverty are two of the most significant challenges faced by the residents.
